Mental Health Moment | Growth from the Past
Jan 30, 2022"Look back to learn. Look forward to succeed." - J. Girard
Sometimes when we look backward, it's to remember something really good, that we miss, or that just makes us feel happy to think about. Sometimes it's to remember something painful. No matter what it is you're looking back at, it's not helpful to get stuck there and keep looking backward. Take a glance, take a moment, let that past event teach you something you can use, and then turn back around, and look forward. You can't get anywhere new if you're resting on past successes or still ruminating over past hurts or failures. Learn a lesson, glean something growth-oriented from the past, and apply it to now, and to wherever you hope to arrive. It's in the past. You're in the now. Look ahead, plan, grow, become... it's your future.
