Mental Health Moment | Connection

When's the last time you felt really connected? One thing that makes us start feeling hopeless, and without purpose, is to get disconnected. When you don't have that "thing" to get up for in the morning, or you don't have that "person" or "people" you can spend time with, a feeling of isolation can grow. If you're not connecting right now, how can you? In what way, what forum, what group, what person, can you find the first steps toward connection? You can satisfy a need for anonymity in online forums or groups. Find a tele-health online counselor. Or start a driveway weekly book club. Whatever works for you, whatever interests you, find someone who shares that with you and start making a connection. It may not be easy at first, but it's so important, and you'll feel the benefits right away. Look for purpose, look for others who share that purpose, and get connected. You're not alone... you just have to get out there and build the bridge
