Mental Health Moment | Burnout
Nov 21, 2021Burnout is a tired place, with depleted energy, and with apathy about things that used to matter. Burnout is difficult to reverse, and hard to live with. Don't go there.. just keep it from happening in the first place. Take the time to care for yourself, relax, remove yourself from the stressful things, and saturate yourself with happy, meaningful, positive things, as often as possible.
Restoration is the goal. When we restore something we don't just clean it up and make it look better on the outside. We very carefully take each little piece apart, being careful with it, and then we clean it, condition it, shine it, strengthen it, and make it fully, and completely, like it was in the very beginning. That's what we need to do with ourselves. Self-care isn't a fluffy mental health term.. it's genuinely just taking really good care of yourself. Restore yourself. Make yourself whole, and new, and strong, by restoring all the little bits, one by one.
